May 7th, 2007—- The mobile industry trade body report more than 500,000 mobile websites registered in 104 countries with the .mobi top level domain.

June 29th, 2007—- Apple introduces the Iphone in the US. Smartphones become the prime driver of mobile internet growth.

July 5th, 2007—- 1-800-Flowers launches mobile website showing leadership in the U.S. retail industry

July 9th, 2007– Helsinki Tourism Board mobile website trial leads to availability of more than 650 “reserved” city names for developing relevant consumer content.

October 22,2007—- The Sun, Britain’s most popular newspaper launches mobile website.
