Grosvenor House Dubai has teamed up with mobile web development company, World Mobi to build their mobile site, grosvenorhouse.mobi. The mobile site features click-to-call mobile booking as well as hotel and local area information. The Grosvenor House Dubai was the first hotel to be built on the Dubai Marina and the 45 story tower offers 422 rooms.
Kelly Footit, World Mobi, Head of Development, says: “With the Grosvenor House Dubai being so close to business and leisure facilities and thus serving as a base for their guests to explore the city, the new mobile site will be an addition to the property’s customer service mix ensuring both hotel and local information can be accessed at anytime and from anywhere”.
Mobile sites are designed to provide the continuous flow of information to which consumers have become accustomed, and are specifically formatted for use on the small screens of mobile phones.
Grosvenorhouse.mobi joins a host of luxury hotel properties that have invested a mobile website including The Saxon Hotel Resort and Spa (thesaxon.mobi), Conrad Hotels & Resorts (conrad.mobi) and Raffles Hotels & Resorts (mobile.raffles.com).
The mobile internet is a new marketing channel that is predicted to generate $150 billion by 2011.
