City.mobi caters to World Cup Visitors

22nd of April 2010

Summer visitors to South Africa need never get lost again as City.mobi revamp their offering ahead of the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Tailored for use on mobile phones, the worldwide travel guides offer an insiders view on host cities and now boast an enhanced review capability and personalisation, as well as an upgraded look and feel for a more valuable browsing experience.

The revamped mobile city guides include all the World Cup host cities - including Bloemfontein (bloemfontein.mobi), Cape Town (capetown.mobi), Durban (durban.city.mobi), Johannesburg (joburg.city.mobi), Nelspruit (nelspruit.city.mobi), Polokwane (polokwane.city.mobi), Port Elizabeth (portelizabeth.city.mobi), Pretoria (pretoria.mobi), and Rustenburg (rustenburg.city.mobi).

Commenting on the new launch, Kelly Footit, head of development said: “World Cup visitors will benefit from the intuitive and personalised experience of looking for information on our mobile guides. We have focused on enhancing our mobile guides during the run up to the World Cup to ensure that residents and visitors alike find local information quickly while on the move.”

Designed specifically for the needs of users on the go, the guides load efficiently and reduce download costs for the user.

The mobile city guides include up to date information on hotels, attractions, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, news, weather and itinerary ideas in each city for visitors and city goers alike.
