As Doha emerges as one of the world’s most popular tourism destinations, leading mobile web development company World.Mobi has unveiled a brand new mobile city guide to highlight the city’s dos and don’ts for travellers and locals.

Since winning the hosting rights for the FIFA World Cup in 2022, Qatar has announced a raft of new infrastructural developments at an estimated cost of $100 billion - including 77 new hotels and 42 hotel apartments, to ensure it maintains its leading position in the Middle East.

Doha.Mobi includes information ranging from accommodations, to restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and transport. In addition the directory includes useful contact information such as emergency services.

Other innovative features include a currency converter and translating tool while web links and contact details are provided for all the featured services.

The user-friendly, simple mobile travel guide features some of the highlights of this enchanting city, from the Grand Regency Hotel Doha to the Admirals Club at the Ritz Carlton and Bubbles at the Ramada Plaza Doha.

For the more adventurous traveller, it offers quirky listings such as the Animal Kingdom pet shop and the Qatar Paintball Centre.
Kelly Footit, head of development at World Group commented: “Qatar and more specifically Doha have been creeping into the world travel and tourism spotlight in recent months.

“As a host destination for major events such as the World Travel Awards Grand Final next month and the FIFA World Cup in 2022, combined with an explosion of new developments that are underway, Doha is drawing more visitors to its sun-kissed shores than ever.
