World Travel Market 2009 was pleasantly surprised by 120 Miss Worlds as they came to show their support for World Mobi at one of the travel industry’s largest travel trade shows. Miss World contestants travelled around the exhibition stands of their respective countries becoming ambassadors for World Mobi while they spoke with hoteliers, tourism board officials and other tourism suppliers.
Mobile was a hot topic at WTM this year as speakers such as Google and Yahoo gave insider information about how to take advantage of the explosion of the mobile web. The event also saw niche players emerge specific to mobile and travel such as mobile boggling tools for travellers.

Miss Mauritius was welcomed to the Mauritius stand as she showcased the mobile web to members of the Mauritius Tourism Board.
The Miss World Pageant also launched its mobile site, built and designed by World Mobi, showcasing the latest news, contestant information, a twitter feed, and pageant information.
